Mgr. Richard Brabec is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic.
He graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Charles University in the field of geology in combination with foreign languages. He worked as director of the Bohemian-Moravian Commodity Exchange Kladno, in various positions in the financial department of Unipetrol, as CFO in Spolana Neratovice and as the managing director of Lovochemie.
In January 2014, he was appointed by the President of the Republic Miloš Zeman as Minister of the Environment and in May 2017 became 1st Deputy Prime Minister.
