Prof. Ing. Vítězslav Benda, CSc, graduated in the field of solid-state physics at  the CTU, Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering in 1967, defended the dissertation thesis in the field of Electrotechnology in 1976. Since 1973 he has been working at the Department of Electrotechnology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU – FEE, where he dealt with power semiconductor components and since 1995 also the issue of photovoltaics.

Since 2001 he has been a Professor in Materials and Technologies for Electrical Engineering, currently he lectures at CTU – FEE several subjects focusing on the issue of photovoltaic systems and is also a leader of PhD students in this field. He is an expert guarantor of the accredited Laboratory of Diagnostics of Photovoltaic Systems at CTU – FEE.
